Change Logs - September 2016

SEP 01 - Version 0.8.1
Version 0.8.1 is done, probably the biggest update in PotionEmpire since 0.6! Here are the details:
Major changes
  • The gameplay and the interface has been improved almost in every page.
  • The helps and translation system has been rewritten. Now all the data will be loaded on login. This has advantages and drawbacks:
    • Imagethe drawback is that login will now take from 5 to 15 seconds.
    • ImageThe advantage is that every page in game will load twice faster or more!
  • Every single help has been reviewed and most of the text has been rewritten. You are really encouraged to check again the helps in game. To do so you can click on the Image icon you can find in every section, or simply check the whole documentation clicking on the help link you can find in the systembar.

Minor changes

BUGS
- Some minor bug solved
- A visualization bug in the "nobles decalogue" has been solved.

REFACTORING
alchemists ranking page: filters by city has been added. Now you can see local rankings.
shops descriptions: now you can format your shop description. Shops descriptions are now visible in the personal tabs page.
customers: some changes has been made:
  • speed rate: the rate at which customers enters your shop is now influenced by your customers approval. Until now it was infuenced only by your Shop level and by the discont/increase you apply to potions.
  • market: shops now have a ranking. The shop ranking depends on 3 things: average customers satisfaction, customers approval and rank points of the owner.
  • in-game news: from now, when the "Most respected" medal changes hand, it will be shown in the news!
encyclopedia: Now you can see the needed tool for harvesting ingredients (starting from level 3 of Encyclopedia).

INTERFACE REFACTORING
popups: the popups system has been improved. Now popups has a maximum size; if information overflows a scrolling bar will appear. Furthermore, now you can close any popup by using the ESC button on your keyboard.
active characteristics: now icons in the top menu (ImageImageImage) shows how many minutes a given characteristic will remain active.
courier: now you can delete a message from the message detail.
recipary: a filter by effect field has been added.

IMPLEMENTATIONS

PREMIUM
getting alquigems: added new ways to get Alquigems.
  • by voting: vote for PotionEmpire.
  • by inviting: invite a friend to play PotionEmpire; both of you will get rewards.
  • by sharing: talk about us on the net.
new services: the following services (payable only with Alquigems) has been added:
  • clean the list of customers that despises you
  • remove medal - Delinquent
  • remove medal - Insolvent
  • buy trilobs
Check the premium shop in game for more detail!

VARIOUS IMPLEMENTATIONS
explorers management: now you can assign a favourite tool to your helpers. When the helper will collect an ingredient whose needed tool matches with the helper's favourite tool, he/she will find 20% more units of that ingredient.


new quest: The young inventor

new medal: Prying (2/2). This medal unlocks at level 11 of Encyclopedia and gives the folowing advantage:
  • Spies reveal more information such as: amount of trilobs, infrastructure levels, amount of friends.

alchemical dump:
A new section has been added at the castle, the dump. Every time a citizen throws away an ingredient or object, it will be stored at the dump. The dump has only 20 available slots.

SEP 06 - Version 0.8.2
Version 0.8.2 brings a completely new storage system. Here are the details:
BUGS
Storage:
- the backpack was able to carry infinite stuff ---> not anymore!
- when joining potions, the vials was not a discriminant factor!! ---> not anymore!
- selling "all the box" enabled you to IGNORE shop's capacity :o ---> not anymore!
Market:
There was a bug that was hiding the "buy" button even if you had the requirements to buy ---> not anymore!
The getter was showing fake unitary price ---> not anymore! :lol:

REFACTORING
alchemical dump:
Now stuff deleted by staff ( :mrgreen: ) will not show at the dump
storage system:
All actions (delete, tranfer, etcc) has been rewrited.
Now you can select 1 or more elements and apply the same action to them!
backpack:
The backpack capacity has been lowered a bit (you will notice it more if you are high level)

LAST MINUTE

Some balancement has been made to medals:
- now "blue" medals will give only 1 point. This will give more value to role medals.
- the Money Maker medals have been changed... consequently everyone lost it; now it's time to get it back!
- New medal: Vial Maker, unlocked with level 9 of Laboratory.
- New medal: Elixir maker, unlocked with level 11 of Laboratory
- Caterer medals (1-5) have been raised to respectively: level 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 of Shop.

WARNING
The growing rate in the amount of slots for ingredients (laboratory) has been lowered!

BUGS
Many bugs solved.

REFACTORING
customers: now customers will pick first the potions that correspond to their searched effect! ;) (they will still prefer the vials types corresponding to their class)
evolution bar: the evolution bar has been moved to the Office page.
rank gaining: repeating a potion will no longer activate the ability gain.

IMPLEMENTATIONS

Customers invitations: now you can invite customers using customers invitations. The invitations are available from castle errands or from Premium Shop.
missed experience gain: now the game will warn you when you are missing experience points gain because of the evolution bar.

Version 0.8.3.1
A really tiny update has been made, such as it does not deserve to be considered a full update. Even if the update is little, the change is pretty big.

* A completely new recipary has been made.
* The storage capacity has been raised by 12 slots.
* evolution bar will no longer refill when you login
* evolution bar elapsing time has been raised to 1 hour
* added a visual captcha to prevent bots from reloading the evolution bar
* the anti multi-window system has been improved

Some old bugs have been removed, among them:
- quests was not recognizing objects
- there was an erron on the open filial button
- you was still able to sell more potions then the shop capacity :oops:

V. 0.8.3.3

Somebugs have beensolved:
- when making elixir, the vials amount was bugging
- enhanced arcane vision was not working properly

Changes:
- the Counterpoison effect has been changed to Regeneration
- the trilob limit for requested loans have been raised: now you can ask more money from bank

Also a new amazing feature has been added: now you can get the effects from more then one elixir at a time! :P
Everything is explained in the Storage help section.

arena: a new page has been created: the arena will allow your helpers to train in fighting skills.
strongbox: now you can buy strongbox slots for trilob and items at the Premium Shop
cocktails: many new cocktails added
new quest: the noble drunkard

REFACTORING
spies: now spies can see if a playes has strongbox slots
slums: a new page has been created to hold all the criminal services, therefore spies and thieves are no longer available at the tavern.
dwelf ice horn: now, when the defender uses a horn, it will be shown in the resume message of both players

V. 0.8.4.1

REFACTORING
castle errands: now the dilution of the potions does not matter anymore.
loans: now you can assign (0.1 * shop_level) loans, for a maximum of 5% of your capital
thieves: thieves does not steal from loans anymore

GAME MECHANICS
base recipe: a new feature has been introduced into the game that changes the mechanics. Now, when you save a recipe whose ingredient is listed into your encyclopedia, the extraction times and the solvent will be stored. In short: you do not need to keep the recipe for every single ingredient since the data will be taken from the encyclopedia. You still need recipes for elixir ingredients, for laboratory helpers, for sale, and of course to create potions with ingredients that are not listed into your encyclopedia.

SEP 21 - Version 0.8.5
A lot of new stuff in this update! The major change this time is the ability to create your own ingredients!

REFACTORING
arena: now both fighters gain fighting points (the winner 2 and the opponent 1)
arena: now, when you start a fight, you can see the numeric results ;)
doreia: now the common glass, crystal and diamond vial are deal at Doreia.
popups: now some of the alert popups (such as "message sent") will close automatically after 2 seconds

IMPLEMENTATIONS

PREMIUM
premium shop: now you can buy Metamorphosis: Zeld elixirs at the premium shop

NEW CITY: VORTZ
Vortz is the main trollish city.
Can be found by sending your helpers to search for cities.
There are 3 new ingredients that can be found only in Vortz and that make a unique effect: Enhance Fighting.
Vortzs tavern sells a special potion: the war brew, that uses that effect; potions with Enhance Fighting can be assigned to your helpers and they will use it in case of need (arena and thefts) to enhance their fighting skills (+30%).
Now errands and customers ask for Enhance Fighting effect, so be prepared. :twisted:

NEW CITY: ZZAL
Zzal is the Zeld city. Only Zeld can move to Zzal or open a filial.
The supplier of Zzal opens her store only to: Zeld, residents or friends; to become her friend you can make a quest.
Once you are her friend, Zirkiko the supplier will let you use her laboratory to create ingredients.
There is a new ingredient that can be found only around Zzal: the Wishworm Drool. It's needed to create Zeld Clay, the special ingredient that's used to create ingredients.
Similarly to Doreia, Zzal is a "flying-only" city, that means:
  • you need an helper mounted on a flying mount (such as griffon, pterosaur or dragon) to find the city
  • foreign helpers without a flying mount can not explore in the city
  • resident helpers without a flying mount can not explore outside the city
NEW EFFECTS
Enhance Fighting: It's a new standard effect. It's used by helpers to increase by 30% the fighting skills.
Enhance Luck: It's a new elixir effect. It makes the alchemist more lucky! :o :? :mrgreen:

This new elixir ingredient is NOT made by refining another ingredient. To make it you must first complete the quest number 11 (Creating Ingredients). Once you have done that, you just select and join exactly 1 stock of each of those ingredients:
  • Mordok Clay
  • Druidic Clay
  • Winds Clay
  • Chameleonic CLay
  • Wishworm Drool
For example: if you join 1 unit of each of the aforementioned ingredients, you will get 1 unit of Zeld Clay.

NEW QUEST
